Did you know that you can mail a check at the end of the year? Your deduction is based on the postmark date. We encourage you to send a check three or four days before December 31 to be sure the Post Office places a December postmark. Even if the December postmarked envelope is not received by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles until after the new year, the IRS will allow you to take a deduction for this year. Thank you for your year-end gift!
